2009 Cessna 172 Skyhawk

Because of its legendary reliability and ease of use, the Cessna Skyhawk is the most popular aircraft ever built, and has been in production since 1956.  While the basic airframe has seen little change over the years, the 2009 Skyhawk that you will pilot through the skies has some of the most advanced civil aircraft technology available.  This includes a modern 'glass' cockpit, in-flight XM weather data, and a flight director/autopilot that shares many of the same functions as modern airliners!

While this airplane has the ability to essentially fly itself from point A to point B, you can be assured that we will build a strong foundation and teach you the basic airmanship that is required of any pilot.  As you progress through your training, you will work up to the point where you can integrate the automation into your everyday flying to make it even easier.
